"If you like Swallows and Amazons, or you are over the age of 10 and have ever been near the water or the Lake District, this is the book for you. It is an exciting story with a bit of sailing (not too much) in it, building to a breathtaking finish. Ideal for buying the children to read (or to read to them) during the summer holidays. I couldn't put it down."
"I was delighted to read this 'Swallows and Amazons' type story. I enjoyed skimming the waters while the 'gang' tried out their yachts; first a 'mirror' then a 'minisail', neither of which meant much to me as I know nothing about sailing! The author's knowledge shines through on this subject. The ensuing adventure that the group of three boys and a girl get into, following a trail laid by a mysterious man, lead them to the Lake District and the beauty of that area. The later part of the story had me gripped to my kindle, not wanting to put it down to do other things, as what seems like a straightforward treasure hunt leads our gang of adventurers into a complication they never dreamed of. Well done Robert; I'm looking forward to reading the sequel"
"A book that's difficult to put down. A delightful tale and wonderfully descriptive. Warmed to the characters instantly and pictured it all in my mind as I read. Well recommended , you will not be disappointed."
